New Dakar Rally
In the future, the paradigm of motorsports will change with the advent of AI.
In response, space exploration company SpaceX will participate in the new Dakar X as a test bed on Mars in the future.
Design Concept
We came up with the relationship between ai, the driver, and the co-driver was similar to an ellipse in which the shape of a triangle changes continuously as a point moves.
Therefore, we set the ellipse as a design theme. We proceeded the design by applying the trinity form to the interaction, the ellipse to the interior, and the triangle to the exterior.
AI Design
Since Dakar Rally is mainly carried out in the desert, I used particles to blend in with the sand, and I held neon green as a key color to stand out in the desert or dark environment.
'Daka' moves from side to side on an interaction pad shaped like an ellipse.
Basically, it is located in the center and the three share the situation while creating a trinity shape, and when communication with the driver is needed, it moves to the front of the driver and to the right when communication with the co-driver is needed.
Interaction
The driver drives along the record line and AI's words such as 'Keep up the pace now' are shared through both voice and text (center at the bottom).
During the rally, tasks such as passing between certain rocks are given, and the obstacles are directly mapped to prevent confusion among the driver so that they can pass between them.
When an emergency such as a sandstorm is detected, the entire driver's field of view is notified of the emergency, and the ai moves in front of the driver to control the situation and presents a solution.
The co-driver can check the condition of the car through 3d and zoom in to check the part in detail when an important issue arises.
