"How can we make carpooling more appealing to students?"
According to the interviews, convincing students who already drive to switch to public transportation was unrealistic.
However, I discovered the design opportunity that they occasionally offer carpooling to people around them.
This led me to set a goal of making carpooling a more familiar and approachable concept for students.
